The receiver that comes with the CAP-210 has a very sophisticated operating system which allows it to be used to receive "free to air" and subscription (if available) programmes from several satellites including Astra 1, Astra 2, Hotbird, Thor, Hispasat and more. Two CAM (common access modules) are built in, allowing the use of subscription cards (but not SKY cards). As far as U.K. TV programmes are concerned, the receiver will pick up all BBC channels and all the “free to air” channels including dozens of radio stations. It also has many features to help sort programmes, arrange favourite channels and much more. This level of sophistication can be very useful but you must be prepared to spend time studying the instruction manual.
The system comprises the antenna, the automatic positioner and Kathrein’s new digital receiver / controller.
A SKY digibox is not included but can be easily connected.
